What's in the course, anyway?

Learn over the course of four weeks, through a combination of videos and written course material. Each section is followed by quizzes, and the opportunity to reflect on what you've learned so far. Take it at your own pace; the entire course is yours to keep, forever.

New material is dropped each week, and should only take a couple of hours to work through.

Week One, Mind Over Money:

  • Decide on your ideal money life, and what goals you want to achieve.
  • Figure out what's holding you back, what you can change, and what you can't.
  • No budgets. Create a spending plan that's unique to you.
  • Control your money while keeping the spending that you value in your life.

Week Two, Saving Your Bacon:

  • Learn the money priorities to have at different stages in your life.
  • Learn the timeline that helps you decide whether you should be saving, investing, or something else entirely.
  • The strategies that let you start a savings habit, and actually stick with it this time.

Week Three, Demolishing Debt:

  • Time to understand debt differently. It's not good or bad, but something you need to understand and control.
  • How to kill debt faster.
  • Why student loans are different.
  • How to master the mortgage.

Week Four, Invest Your Way to Wealth:

  • How the share market works, and why you don't need to be scared of it.
  • A share market investing plan for normal people, who aren't rich yet, don't have much time, and don't have a business degree. None of that matters.
  • How to find legitimate places to invest.
  • How to find a financial adviser, if you want one.
  • Bonus content for New Zealanders and Australians, to make KiwiSaver and super work harder for you.

This course is educational only, and is not intended to replace individual financial advice.
